Miss Nancy’s experience at FMRNS started over 20 years ago when her first child was a student of Mrs. Avery. That student is currently putting his PhD in microbiology from Boston University to work on biosensors for the detection of covid19. Her belief in the power of books and nature to inspire and educate paired with an encouragement of innate curiosities (and a LOT of silly play) helped propel all 4 of her children to pursue undergraduate and post graduate degrees in STEM studies.
While raising her children in New Canaan she enjoyed a career in hospitality and actively participated with many educational and social enrichment programs such as Learning to Look, Odyssey of the Mind and Scouting. She enjoys loads of physical activity like riding her bike and hiking and spending quality time with the people she loves.
